Rescued Steinway donated to Minnesota Beethoven Festival
A 75-year-old Steinway grand piano that was used by Liberace and other greats has been restored and is ready for use at the Minnesota Beethoven Festival in Winona, Minnesota.
A Winona businessman donated the piano to the festival.
Pianists such as Liberace, Anton Rubinstein and Rudolf Serkin played the piano in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The instrument had been a concert piano in New York before it was moved to La Crosse.
