Waldorf College in Forest City, IA, was recently named an All-Steinway School, meaning that 90 percent of the pianos in the music department are Steinway & Sons pianos.
The process to replace the pianos was started more than three years ago. Most of the pianos at the time were old and needed repair. They would not stay in tune and in turn were very costly to maintain.
“The students were so excited and impressed with the new pianos,” a spokesperson said. “They loved the new pianos and no longer had to go from one practice room to another to find a piano somewhat in tune. The pianos have also made it easier to teach the students.”
