Mexican pianist wins over crowd
Mexican pianist Jorge Federico Osorio certainly made some fans while
he was in San Jose, CA.
In addition to playing for 650 children at local elementary school, Osorio
was the guest of honor at a reception held at the Saratoga home of
Alcario and Carmen Castellano. The Castellano Family Foundation was
a co-sponsor of Saturday's concert along with the Steinway Society of the
Bay Area.
Sitting at a baby grand piano in the spacious home, Osorio played for the
appreciative audience.
On the subject of the Steinway Society, the group will soon be welcoming
2005 Van Cliburn silver medalist Joyce Yang in concert.
